Vaal moved to Turffontein

Tuesday's race meeting at the Vaal has been moved to the Turffontein Standside Track.

Vaal had 28mm of rainfall in the last 7 days, with 23mm in the last 24 hours.

The penetrometer reading is currently sitting at 30 with more rainfall forecast for Monday night, and a 40 percent chance of showers on Tuesday.

Turffontein had 7mm over the last 7 days, with 1mm in the last 24 hours. The penetrometer reading is 23 with 30 percent chance of thundershowers forecast for Tuesday.

In view of this, the race meeting scheduled for 16 May 2023 has been moved from the Vaal main track to the Turffontein Standside.

Distance changes as follows :
Races 1 to be run over 1160m
Race 2 to be run over 1160m
Race 3 to be run over 1600m
Race 4 to be run over 1600m 

Voluntary scratchings will close at 8am on Tuesday.

Race times remain the same.
