It seemed at one point that top trainer Aidan O’Brien was going to bypass the Juddmonte with Epsom Derby failure Delacroix, who went on to win the Coral-Eclipse, but the three-year-old has been declared to run with stable jockey Ryan Moore aboard.

He beat Ombudsman by a neck in the Coral-Eclipse, and it should be close between the pair again.

The World Pool tote will also be in operation on Races 1 and 2 at the Newmarket meeting on Friday.
