You Think So set for further success

September 2024

He Jiong

Selangor racing continues on Sunday featuring an exciting eight-race card with highly competitive action expected throughout the day.

Five-year-old galloper You Think So should continue his consistent run of form when he lines up in the 1020m Class 4 contest on Track Two.

Arriving winless from nine appearances in Singapore, You Think So has established a good record in Malaysia with two wins and three placings from six starts.

The gelding is yet to finish out of the top two in four runs on Track Two, which included successive victories back in April and May of this year.

Stepping up to the mile for the first time three weeks ago, You Think So finished third and should benefit from the distance drop. Having previously won while carrying 59kg, he appears well-positioned to regain winning form this weekend.

The NM Selvan-trained five-year-old Popeyethesailorman will benefit from the drop in class and is set to make amends for his last-start defeat.

He had genuine excuses in the SLTC Four-Year-Old Sprint last time out, where he raced three-wide without cover the entire trip, so it was no surprise to see him weaken in the straight, finishing 10th over 1200m.

Returning to Class 4 is advantageous this week, especially since he won effortlessly by 4.25 lengths while leading all the way in this class two starts ago. He has since trialled well and appears to have a strong chance of winning. - iRACE Racing Editor
