Woza Nawe to finally crack a win

Peter Muscutt has had one of his best starts this season with numerous winners, but the veteran horseman would have been a bit disappointed that Woza Nawe hasn’t scored just yet. She has finished ahead of Grade 3 placed The Ghost and was third behind superstar Quid Pro Quo after all.

But she comes into Race 3, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1400m, ready to win having looked unlucky in her last start when beaten a neck over the same distance at Hollywoodbets Greyville by Happy Fortune. She probably did a bit too much to overcome a wide draw but, in the end, it appeared as if greenness may have cost her.

The switch to Scottsville with its longer straight and the fitting of blinkers could see a more fluent performance from her, and she should confirm her status as the best horse according to form and ratings in a weak field.
