Hong Kong Jockey Club World Pools will be in operation on the first three days of the four-day Yorkshire Ebor Festival, which begins today, 17 August, and TAB horseracing customers can bet their maximum on Win, Place, Swinger and Quinella pools without fear of significantly depressing payouts.
The Ebor Festival has grown in stature in recent years and each of the first three days is headlined by a Grade 1 blockbuster, beginning with the famous Juddmonte International over 2051m today.
Baaeed, undefeated in nine races to date and rated the best racehorse in the world, is expected to make it a flawless 10 from 10 in the Juddmonte, in which he is faced by six opponents including last year’s six-length winner Mishriff.
The only potential chink in Baaeed’s armour is the distance because he will be racing past 1600m for the first time. But this star four-year-old colt’s temperament, style of racing and pedigree suggest he will be well suited by this distance.
All TAB Win, Place, Swinger and Quinella bets today, tomorrow, and Friday will be commingled into the UK Tote, which in turn will commingle them into the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s massive World Pools.
