THE visiting Glen Kotzen-trained Holding Thumbs will be a popular banker for punters at the Fairview Turf track on Friday.
He will contest the fourth race, a MR Handicap over 1600m, at 14:05.
Kotzen makes no secret about the fact that he thinks highly of the four-year-old son of Vercingetorix.
Holding Thumbs is better than his last start when he suffered interference. He won his previous two starts with ease.
Jockey Denis Schwarz is expected to take Holding Thumbs to the front and if all went well with his travels, Holding Thumbs should be hard to peg back.
Although Holding Thumbs looks too strong for the opposition, it won’t be a case of just pitching up for the money.
Global Ally looks the biggest danger but Sequoia and Fateful Day should also be in the mix.
The meeting starts on an exciting note with the first race at 12:20.
It is the Work Riders Maiden Plate for fillies and mares and we know these riders are always well supported at Fairview.
They won’t be holding back!
