Turffontein racing postponed, Tote bets stand

The race meeting scheduled for Turffontein on 9 November 2024 has been postponed to Monday, 11 November 2024.

The track received over 20mm of rainfall in just a few hours on Saturday morning, and light drizzle is continuing.

Although the track is raceable, the forecast predicts rain throughout the day, beginning at 13:00 with a more significant storm expected around 16:00.

Given these conditions, there is a high likelihood that racing would commence but not be completed, prompting the decision to postpone the event.

Bettors must also note that the original carded race times will be applicable, which means all Tote bets placed to date will stand.
