Following 85mm of rain at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth since Saturday evening, areas of the track are unsurprisingly waterlogged.
A further 40mm is forecast for Tuesday.
Cape Racing has therefore made an early decision to abandon the race meeting scheduled for Tuesday 9 July.
And with even more rain forecast for Wednesday and Thursday, Saturday's fixture is also under pressure. If Saturday's fixture cannot take place, it will be postponed to Monday 15 July.
A meeting will also be added on Wednesday 17 July in lieu of the lost meeting.
If required, Cape Racing may make use of both racecourses depending on rainfall levels and track conditions.
The intent is to make up for the lost meetings, in full. - Cape Racing
