Ralph Beckett can continue his excellent recent form when Trust House runs in the Unibet Support Safe Gambling Maiden Stakes at Kempton.
By one of Beckett’s favourite sires in Lope De Vega, the three-year-old has obviously had an issue or two because he has only made it to the track twice.
However, there has been plenty of promise to suggest he is well up to winning a race and with the yard in such good shape now is the perfect time to strike.
Unraced at two he made his debut at Newbury in April when fourth of five to Military Order who went on to run in the Derby.
Exoplanet was second and filled the same spot in the Hampton Court at Royal Ascot and the Leger-bound Chesspiece was third, so there is very little wrong with the form.
He then ran the following month at Nottingham in another hot event won by Perfuse, now rated 93, but the heavy ground took a toll and he was well beaten into third.
Given plenty of time since and stepped up in trip, he is likely to improve further being related to a Leger winner in Galileo Chrome.
David Simcock’s Mordor could have been let in the Unibet More Boosts In More Races Handicap lightly given how his last race has worked out.
By the late stallion Roaring Lion, he ran well enough on debut in fifth and was then third at Newcastle. Bt it is his Doncaster run in a valuable novice that stands out.
It was won by Sweet William, who has since won big pots at Newbury and Goodwood before being touched off in the Ebor by an inspired Frankie Dettori on Absurde.
Mordor was beaten over eight lengths but there is plenty of scope off a mark of 74 for him to improve significantly.
The Racing League concludes at Southwell where it is probably worth looking to see what Saffie Osborne is riding given her record in the competition.
One that sticks out like a sore thumb is King Of Scotia, trained by her father, Jamie, having his first run for 109 days.
Osborne senior recently stated he had a few aces up his sleeve for the final night and this could be one in the William Hill Enhanced Odds Every Day Racing League Race 37 Handicap.
Osborne later rides Zain Nights for Harry and Roger Charlton and he is another worth close consideration.
It might just be that James Tate’s Regal Empire can defy a 5lb rise for winning a good prize at Ascot last time out in the William Hill Epic Value Racing League Race 42 Handicap.
Clive Cox’s Heroism has not lived up to early expectations having been thrown in at the deep end on his second start last year.
Now down to a mark of 77 in the Bet Online At bresbet.com Handicap at Bath, he can start making progress.
Climbing, joint owned by the Queen, can give the royals a taste of glory before Desert Hero runs in the St Leger by winning the Vistry Homes Partridge Walk Stafford Maiden Hurdle at Uttoxeter.
