TOP YARDS AT IT AGAIN

After saddling a double apiece last week, the top stables of trainers Alan Greeff and Gavin Smith resume rivalry at the Fairview Polytrack on Friday the 13th.

Both yards are in tremendous form, but might not have it all their own way at a competitive looking meeting.

To top it all it is Friday the 13^th. Superstition that surrounds Friday the 13^th traditionally believes the date brings bad luck, but that will hopefully not be the case for the punters.

The only two runners wearing saddle cloth number 13 are Bella’s Pablo (race 4) and Perfect Trust (race 8) – have a good look at them!

Greeff and Smith could be straight into a battle in the first race which is off at 12:25.

Two Canford Cliffs fillies Wishes And Dreams (Greeff) and Make Believe (Smith) should fight it for the win in the first leg of the Bipot.

The Place Accumulator starts with a competitive second race at 13:00, but Greeff has a big say with Green Okra.

Battle Of Britain (Smith) and Fantasy Girl (Greeff) are both big runners in the first leg of the Pick Six, race three at 13:35.

Most of the fancied runners in the fourth race are drawn wide which makes it even more difficult to pick a winner.

The fifth race is also very competitive but we can narrow it down to the two Greeff runners, Strata and Sharapova, in race six.

Final Edition (Greeff) has been consistent lately and is drawn well in the seventh race with Richard Fourie aboard.

The Dynasty gelding is a worthy favourite, but there are some hard knockers which can strike in this handicap over 1600m.

We end the meeting with the eighth race which is the usual tough assignment for punters.
