Time for good living at Scottsville

Trainer Paul Lafferty is in good form of late and he can get bettors off to a great start in Race 1 at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.

Querari colt Good Living could be ready to run his best in Race 1, a Maiden Plate over 1200m. The bay found his penultimate start over 1000m too short but then overdid things when going over 1400m thereafter. He tried to make every post a winning one but found only one better in the form of Peter Muscutt’s improving Night Rocker.

While he ran well in both those races the switch to 1200m could be the perfect balance.

Muzi Yeni who has had the perfect start to the season and leads the field with 34 winners, teams up with Lafferty on Good Living.

They also team up with One Scotch in Race 2, another Maiden Plate over 1200m, who ran a 4.40-length second behind Luneluck on debut. However, they could have My Boy Lollipop to beat.

Frank Robinson’s charge has run six times for four seconds and a third place but has improved markedly with the fitting of blinkers.

Sean Veale, who is currently lying in second spot on the jockeys’ log with 25 winners, takes the ride.

Blind Speed should be hard to beat on form in Race 3, a Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1400m.

She is going about things the right way and only has a wide gate to overcome.
