The Doyen Chief relished a step up to three miles last time out and can builon that success by securing a nice prize in the #40,000 eventmasters.co.uk Challenger Staying Chase Series Final Handicap Chase at Warwick.

Already a winner in the point-to-point, bumper and hurdling spheres, Alan King's eight-year-old made a solid start to his career over fences, being placed at Market Rasen, Exeter and Taunton.

He was then sent off at a shade of odds-on at Kempton and delivered with a minimum of fuss under Tom Bellamy, hitting the front three out and staying on well to maintain his advantage.

The Doyen Chief has been raised 5lb for that but is clearly suited by three miles on a sound surface and will have plenty in his favour again.
