That potent Fairview combination of trainer Alan Greeff and record seeking jockey Richard Fourie should get punters off to a flyer at the Polytrack on Friday.
The filly Fire Alarm made a promising debut over 1200m ten days ago and is the horse to beat in the first race, a Maiden Juvenile Plate over 1400m.
Havana Grey also made an eye-catching debut earlier in the month. The Heavenly Blue filly looks very hard to oppose in the second race of the day, an Open Maiden over 1000m.
The stable is confident of good showings by these two fillies. They can be strongly considered as possible bankers in the respective first legs of the Bipot and Place Accumulator.
Executor (race 4) is another Greeff-trained filly with Fourie in the saddle who looks ready to win.
The two-year-old colt My Best Shot can also win for the Greeff-Fourie combination.
He will be taking on the older horses in the sixth race over 1400m in his Poly debut. There are some lively challengers but My Best Shot won his last race on the Turf really well and can follow up.
Trainer Gavin Smith will also be keen to get in the number one box early. He is just one winner away from reaching his hundred for the season.
With eight races on the card and the stable in fine form, Smith is unlikely to miss out.
Greeff also has hundred winners for the season in his sights. He is only four winners away.
The first race is off at 12:25.
