‘Splice’ to get it right at Fairview

Alan Greeff will have one eye on Turffontein as Golden Palm prepares for a crack at the Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Classic over 1800m on Saturday.

However, he will first be keeping the other eye on Fairview on Friday where former Eastern Cape Champion Two-Year-Old filly, Splicethemainbrace lines up in Race 3, a Pinnacle Stakes over 1600m on the turf.

She did lose her form as a three-year-old when well beaten a couple of times. But she is back as a winner at four – and she is back with a bang!

She has notched up a couple of impressive recent wins, her latest being the most impressive.

The Master Of My Fate filly gave a lot of weight away to some of her rivals, but that did not matter at the finish as she stormed home a 4.25-length victor over Hoerikwaggo.

On Friday Splicethemainbrace is weighted to win and she should face few problems in putting away her five rivals.

Richard Fourie has ridden her 11 times for nine wins and he is back on board this time.
