However, it could well apply to Wednesday’s meeting at Hollywoodbets Durbanville where the best bet comes up in the last race of the day.

Coming through the ranks is Gimmie’s Countess who is a two-time winner from 11 starts and lining up in Race 9 today, a Class 4 Handicap over 1250m, is Gimmie Rules, a winner on debut at HWB Scottsville in June who was badly hampered making his seasonal return over this course and distance last month.
Jumping from a wide draw, he raced near the back of the field and was badly hampered. Nevertheless, he still produced the fastest final 400m to end up 2.75 lengths behind the winner.
This time he will jump from No 6 draw, will have knowledge of this tight-turning course and will have Craig Zackey in the irons.
