However, it could well apply to Wednesday’s meeting at Hollywoodbets Durbanville where the best bet comes up in the last race of the day.

Jumping from a wide draw, he raced near the back of the field and was badly hampered. Nevertheless, he still produced the fastest final 400m to end up 2.75 lengths behind the winner.

This time he will jump from No 6 draw, will have knowledge of this tight-turning course and will have Craig Zackey in the irons.

Rely on this colt to make you money on the day and you will realise the prophecy of the final line of that song.
