NOVEMBER STAKES
Khaya’s Hope is set to continue his spectacular return to form at the Fairview Polytrack on Friday afternoon.
He is the favourite to win the R175 000 November Stakes (Non-Black Type) over 1400m which is Friday’s feature race.
The East Cape champion three-year-old of last season experienced some serious health earlier in the year but he showed he is back to his best when he won over 1200m on the turf two weeks ago.
Champion trainer Gavin Smith and his team did a fine job to get Khaya’s Hope back on track. Luyolo Mxothwa will be riding Khaya’s Hope for the first time.
Khaya’s Hope hasn’t won on the poly yet but has no problem with the surface. He loves the 1400m and looks ready to make it seven victories from 15 career starts.
Port Louis is the main danger to the favourite. He has been very consistent on the poly and is drawn in pole position with Richard Fourie up for the Alan Greeff stable.
Narcos and Inherit The Rain should complete the Quartet in the small field of seven runners.
The November Stakes is race seven on the card of eight races at 15:50.
The stables of Smith and Greeff look strong throughout the day and they should have the biggest say.
The first race is also the first leg of the Bipot and gets the action underway at 12:25.
Place Accumulator players will get involved from the second race at 12:55 and the third race at 13:30 is the first leg of the Pick Six.
