Noisy Music was a most taking winner at Windsor on her first start for Mick Appleby on Monday and is fancied to make it a quick double at Thirsk.
The daughter of Group One scorer Music Show hinted at ability in three spins for Kevin Ryan and April’s Wolverhampton second to Grandlad received a boost when that one went in again at Goodwood.
Although not quite up to the standards of owner-breeder Jaber Abdullah, she always looked a nice recruit for her new connections and backed up that view earlier this week.
Rossa Ryan had Noisy Music in touch throughout and she produced a neat turn of foot when urged to kick on, pulling well clear of the field along with last month’s Ripon winner Raffles Angel.
Appleby’s charge had a length to spare over that rival at the line and raced as though dropping back down to five furlongs for the Download The Vickers.Bet App Fillies’ Handicap will be no problem.
Incremental galloped on gamely from the front when scoring at Windsor and can follow up in the Vickers.Bet Best Odds Guaranteed Everyday Handicap.
The son of Kingman has been well handled since joining Michael Bell and the feeling is that we may not have got to the bottom of his ability yet.
Jacquelina has to carry a 10lb penalty in the Join Our Free Bet Club At Vickers.Bet Handicap but is still 5lb well in on her new official rating.
Phil McEntee’s mare made it four consecutive victories when powering clear for an emphatic triumph at Chepstow and clearly gets on well with the trainer’s daughter, Grace.
Voodoo Ray has also been a revelation this season and can stretch his winning sequence to four in the AK Bets Chat To A Trader Handicap at Brighton.
Gary and Josh Moore’s gelding looked to have more in hand than the official winning margins suggested when bagging a double at this course and completed the hat-trick in fine fashion at Bath.
The five-year-old gelding has hit the line strongly on each occasion for Tom Queally and the handicapper has had a tough job keeping up with his progress.
D Flawless appeals in the William Hill Epic Value Apprentice Fillies’ Novice Stakes at Goodwood, with connections having opted to go for this contest rather than a Listed event on Saturday at the Sussex course.
Her narrow second to Arisaig at Kempton in December has worked out well and the Gosdens gave the daughter of Make Believe a nice confidence booster when she scored at prohibitive odds at Chelmsford.
The Clarehaven yard can also strike up at Haydock with top-weight Ananda in the Betfred “Play Fred’s £5 Million” Fillies’ Handicap.
This daughter of Frankel was sidelined for 611 days after winning nicely at Yarmouth on her second juvenile outing but showed her well-being when returning to action with a Doncaster runner-up effort.
Ananda travelled strongly in front during that 18-runner novice contest but just looked in need of the outing late on and she should now strip fitter for this handicap bow.
Joseph O’Brien is an interesting name on the Bath racecard and his Lady With The Lamp looks one to be on in the British Stallion Studs EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.
The juvenile filly was a respectable third of 15 at Windsor on debut and has a Group Two entry for the Curragh at the end of this month.
