No stopping Nel at Greyville

Trainer Andre Nel’s satellite yard in KwaZulu-Natal hit form recently and Dontstopmenow could keep the run going in Race 4, a MR 78 Handicap over 2000m on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.

Dontstopmenow won his maiden by 9.20 lengths easing up, which is a bit of a rarity these days, especially at this course.

Aptly named Dontstopmenow is from a family endowed with stamina, even though by Gimmethegreenlight, and whose progeny gets better with each run.

He is racing after a rest, but he looks well placed racing off a merit rating of 79 and that is enticing. He has more to come, and it is a competitive race, but he could prove good value at his opening price of 5-1.

Nel’s other big chance on the day comes up in the last race where Jazz Diva will be going out to complete a hat trick of wins in an MR 74 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1800m.

This filly started her career in the Western Cape where she failed to light up the tracks in all of her starts. But she has won both local races over 1200m and 1400m in a row and looks to have needed time to mature. She is by Master Of My Fate and should also appreciate the step up to 1800m.
