The Andre Nel-trained three-year-old gelding makes his debut in KwaZulu-Natal after having started his career in the Western Cape. He ran some decent races against stronger than he will face in this race and just came up against a couple of stronger opponents.
Everything looks well laid out for the son of Vercingetorix to finally get off the mark. He comes down in class and is beautifully drawn in gate No 3.
The only concern is how he will handle the Polytrack, but he has good gate speed and pace which will hold him in good stead.

Simply Complicated ran the better race last time out, but she is a difficult ride. That might pave the way for Good Girl to open her account in Race 3, a Maiden Plate for fillies over 1800m.
Shane Humby’s stable is in hot form and his filly seemed to need her first race over distance.
From a betting perspective it might pay to take the win on Good Girl, who should jump the better price, but take the swingers and exactas with Simply Complicated.
The best race on the day is Race 6, an MR 79 Handicap over 1200m. Not an easy race but Burning Wings keeps on improving and from a plum draw could go in again.
Herecomestherain ran a cracker in stronger company last time and has drawn equally well, so rates a big threat.
Fly The Coup, however, pulled off a coup on debut and could be best in at the handicap. It is also worth noting that Anton Marcus will have to get his weight down to ride the gelding at 56.5kg.
Perhaps play Trifectas with the trio and any others who tickle your fancy.
