Racing is on the Polytrack at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday and trainer Mike Miller looks set for a decent day. He has a promising group of three-year-olds and many of them are improving as they get older
A case in point is filly Bel Giocatore. She showed little in her first four runs, but stepping up in distance with every attempt, she was eye-catching when allowed to be switched off early and then asked for a final kick last time over 1800m.
The change in tactics and sticking to the distance of her best effort could work a treat again in Race 3, a Maiden Plate. Getting No 1 draw will also help and she is the one to beat.
Being by Act Of War out of a Silvano-mare she is bred to be better with time and distance and it looks to be her time.
Tristan Godden has been guiding a number of Miller’s charges to victory and he has become somewhat of a specialist on the Polytrack at Greyville.
