Hot Sauce to spice it up for Greeff, Fourie

Eastern Cape champion trainer Alan Greeff has not had a great start to the new year. Of course, we all knew it would be just a matter of time for the turnaround to occur and that is exactly what happened at Fairview on Friday.

Greeff came away with four winners, three of them ridden by first-choice jockey Richard Fourie, the other by Louie Mxothwa.

The good form can continue on Tuesday when they race on the Polytrack. The one runner that does stand out on the eight-race card is Hot Sauce, who lines up in Race 7, a MR 86 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1200m.

The well-bred three-year-old filly won on debut and has not been disgraced in her three starts since then.

The daughter of Canford Cliffs returned from a break and found some speedy fillies and mares a bit quicker than her on the day but was reportedly coughing so that run is easily ignored.

She chased home a fast filly in Danish Dynamite in her only run on this surface and that form is good enough to suggest Hot Sauce is worth a bet.
