The Hong Kong Jockey Club purchased the highest-priced lot out of the recent 2023 Cape Premier Yearling Sale powered by Tattersalls in Cape Town, South Africa for a total outlay of ZAR3,800,000.
Lot 107 is an attractive son of Gimmethegreenlight, South Africa’s Champion Sire in 2020/21. Presented by leading stud Maine Chance Farms, the youngster’s family traces back to 1994 German St. Leger winner Caballo, while his sire’s progeny already includes none other than Got The Greenlight – a five-time Group 1 winner in South Africa as well as Yulong Prince, a top-level winner in both Australia and South Africa.
