Greeff, Fourie look ‘Baie Mooi’

Racing is on the Polytrack at Fairview on Wednesday and the Alan Greeff – Richard Fourie combination should be on the mark score with Baie Mooi in Race 5, a Graduation Plate over 1200m.

The four-year-old Canford Cliffs filly was a facile winner of her first two starts this year. She returned from a break and reportedly was not striding out when a disappointing fifth over this course and distance on 23 September. That run is best forgotten, and she looks well-weighted to win — comfortably so.

If following in-form runners who keep winning is your style, then Tintamarre in Race 6, a MR 82 Handicap over 1200m, certainly fits that profile. This Fire Away four-year-old gelding has just pulled off a hat-trick of wins on this surface, with his most recent victory the easiest of the lot. He has received a five-point penalty for that win, but he’s in top form and could very well extend his winning streak.
