Unbeaten Star filly Gimme A Nother will soon be jetting off to the US to continue her racing career.
As a result, she has been withdrawn from the Hollywoodbets Durban July, trainer Mike de Kock announced on Monday.
He said: “After consulting with Gimme A Nother’s owners, Jessica and Steven Jell, a decision was made to plan a campaign for her in the United States. I will be flying to the US this week to explore our best racing options for her.
“If all goes well, we’ll be sending a couple of other runners with her to continue their careers in the US, and hopefully we can attract other top South African runners to race there.”
De Kock added that it was unlikely Gimme A Nother would race in South Africa again. “We’ll be shipping her as soon as we have an agreed course of action,” he noted.
Gimme A Nother, a three-year-old by Gimmethegreenlight out of Nother Russia, is unbeaten in seven career starts. Her wins include the Grade 1 Wilgerbosdrift SA Fillies Classic and the Grade 1 TAB Empress Club Stakes. – mikedekockracing.com
