Fourie can give Greeff Joy And Peace

November 2024

Polytrack meetings continue at Fairview on Friday and after a disastrous meeting last week the star combination of jockey Richard Fourie and trainer Alan Greeff can go back to having winners at will.

The pair hold winning chances in most of the eight races but it is their decent fillies, Joy And Peace and Three Rocks, that will catch the attention of most of their fans.

Joy And Peace has had a very good year so far, winning five times, including the East Cape Oaks and the East Cape Derby.

In total she has won seven of her 17 starts.

The Master Of My Fate filly has won over distances as short as 1200m and 1400m but is really at her very best over further.

She takes her place in Race 3, a Conditions Plate over 1600m.

Fourie has a good record on the four-year-old, winning six of 10 times he has ridden her.

Her form on the Polytrack is also very good, winning three of her seven races on the surface.

The feature race at this meeting is Race 7, the Listed Glendore Sprint over 1000m and it should be a very competitive finish.

Three Rocks will likely start as favourite with her impressive seven wins from 14 starts, including two of them over the course and distance.

She has, however, been beaten twice by Paris Lass and suffered a defeat over this track and trip when they last met.

There are a number of other runners who have made some significant improvement of late.

Anuschka's World has been runner-up in her last two starts but is improving and both of those runs were against decent male opposition.

Ellorix is also on the up and was a wide margin winner over this course and distance last time out so she is likely to try the same tactics this time.
