Wings Of War, owned by Mary Slack and trained by Tony Millard, will make his Hong Kong debut at Sha Tin on Sunday in Race 9, the TVB Wai Yin Association Special Handicap over 1200m on turf.
He may need a bit more time but his recent efforts at the trials have caught the eye.
The four-year-old Irish-bred gelding performed admirably in a barrier trial over 1200m on the All-Weather Track on 7 February when running on to finish third.
He’s a Group 2 winner from Great Britain who has the class to win a race of this nature, despite jumping from No 8 draw.
Karis Teetan takes the ride.
