Credo can take a starring role at Sandown on Saturday in the Unibet Veterans' Handicap Chase.
The 11-year-old is one of three runners for Anthony Honeyball with stablemate Gustavian looking the more likely contender following his victory in the Badger Beers Chase at Wincanton back in November - a race in which Credo was beaten 12.5-lengths in third conceding 5lb to the winner. Honeyball also runs outsider Blackjack Magic.
Gustavian was hiked 8lb for that admittedly impressive win while Credo actually lines up off 2lb lower here having suffered another defeat in the interim, when upped in distance to just short of 6000m in open company at Ascot.
That likely stretched his stamina to the extreme but back down in distance here, off a reduced mark back in veterans company and with the assistance of Harry Cobden in the saddle, Credo has every chance of securing top honours.
Can You Call is the pick in the Unibet Middle Distance Veterans' Handicap Chase after a clear-cut success in a similar heat at Cheltenham last time out.
Evan Williams' runner will have to defy a career-high mark, but he seems to have found his level in this division.
That'll Do Moss was disappointing on her seasonal bow but should be given another chance in the Unibet Mares' Hurdle.
She came home fourth on her return in a Kempton Listed race in November, beaten with a couple to jump by three rivals who all had the benefit of a previous outing.
That was That'll Do Moss' first start since finishing second at Grade One level at the Punchestown Festival and if Fergal O'Brien has got her back on that sort of form, she could be tough to beat on the ratings.
Keep Running delivered a front-running masterclass at Sandown last month and despite soaring in the weights, he can follow up in the Try Unibet's Smartview Racecards Handicap Chase.
An 11lb rise probably reflects the manner of that 18-length victory but he might still have a little left to give.
Westcombe can pick up where he left off in 2025 with victory in Lingfield's Midnite Are Upping The Betting Game Handicap.
The four-year-old ended the year with two victories, with the move up to 2400m seemingly bringing out more improvement in Sir Mark Prescott's runner.
His second verdict was more conclusive than the first and his new mark of 76 may still underestimate him.
At Southwell, Southern Warrior is the choice in the Always Gamble Responsibly At BetMGM Novice Stakes.
He looked to find 1000m a bit sharp on his only juvenile start last month, but there was plenty of promise in that 3.5-length defeat and he should improve for the experience. - Press Association
