Countess takes step towards Fillies Guineas

At Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday well-bred Gimmie's Countess will be looking to add the Grade 2 Western Cape Fillies Championship to her victory in the recent Grade 3 Diana Stakes at HWB Durbanville, both races over 1400m.

Candice Bass-Robinson's runner finished an encouraging third against older opposition over 1250m on her reappearance six weeks ago and is open to improvement going 1400m for the first time.
