Charlie Fellowes' Cosi Bello can rise to the top in division two of the Unibet Support Safer Gambling Restricted Novice Stakes at Kempton.
The chestnut son of Bated Breath made a pleasing start to his career at Chelmsford in April, winning a seven-furlong maiden comfortably and defeating eight rivals.
One of those was Richard Hughes' Critical Aclaim, himself a winner next time out when taking a Brighton event over the same trip to verify the form.
Cosi Bello now makes his second career start under Kieran Shoemark and looks to have plenty to offer, not least because he is a half-brother to the all-weather Listed winner Urban Icon.
In division one of the same race, it is Ralph Beckett's Brize Norton who appeals on his first run since undergoing a gelding procedure.
The bay was making progress in three starts as a juvenile last year, most recently finishing third when two lengths behind stablemate Chantilly Lace in a Salisbury novice.
Chantilly Lace moved immediately on to much bigger things this term, contesting the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on her next start and finishing a creditable fifth when two and a half lengths behind the talented Desert Flower.
Two further winners have come from the five runners that lined up for that Salisbury event and now gelded and returning to action, Brize Norton looks well placed to add his own name to that list.
At Brighton, Sean Woods' Duca Di Lucca can strike in the Star Sports We Believe In Bookmaking Restricted Novice Stakes.
The colt already has a Southwell all-weather win to his name from his sole start as a juvenile, with over enthusiasm likely putting paid to his chances on his seasonal return at the same track earlier this year.
He now switches to the turf but sticks to the same mile trip as his last run and with Tom Marquand in the saddle and a small field to contend with, he gets the vote.
Over the jumps at Warwick, it is Emma Lavelle's Two To Tango who looks a contender in the Logicor William Eborall Maiden Hurdle.
The gelding is a consistent type who has not been far from the action throughout the winter months but has found success hard to come by.
His mark has remained relatively static as a result and he has often looked happiest on relatively quick ground, conditions he is certain to get at Warwick after a dry spring thus far.
He will be partnered by Ben Jones and tackles a two-mile three-furlong trip that has looked well within his capabilities in the past.
