CLARETS LOOKS COSMIC AT AYR

July 2025

Richard Fahey's Cosmic Clarets is worth following in the Irish EBF Try Racing TV For Free Now Novice Stakes at Ayr.

The juvenile colt is by a sire making a real impression with his first runners in Starman, and fared well on his racecourse debut when lining up at Pontefract.

Despite signs of greenness he was the runner-up and looked a horse with plenty more to offer this season with the benefit of that experience.

On the same card Ziggy's Triton who can win the five-furlong Summer Staycations At Western House Hotel Handicap.

Trained by David O'Meara, the gelded son of Profitable has a sound turf record having never been out of the top two in three starts on grass.

Most recently he was in action in a Nottingham novice over the bare-minimum sprint trip, where his rider's 5lb claim proved very useful as the partnership scored by a neck.

Now back in handicap company, but crucially on turf and not the all-weather, he looks poised to produce another winning performance.

India Love can make it three wins in as many starts in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Nursery Handicap at Windsor.

A narrow neck scorer at York on her debut at the start of June, she added a second success at Lingfield at the end of the month.

That second victory came by a length and a quarter, which was not the biggest margin given she was was sent off the 1-4 favourite but a steady early pace would hardly have helped her cause.

George Boughey's charge has a fair starting mark of 84 for this contest.

Hayynah can come out on top in the Barbados Rum Runners EBF Novice Stakes.

Ollie Sangster's charge came off second best to Lebron Power on debut at this track in June, beaten a length after a bit of a slow start.

The winner has since finished fourth to the very useful Staya in a Listed contest to give the form a sturdy look and while her breeding suggests she will want further than this six furlongs in time, she should still be good enough.

Art Patron has hit the bar a couple of times but can enjoy her moment in the spotlight in the Rum N Vibez Handicap.

Beaten two and a quarter lengths when upped to a mile for the first time, Andrew Balding's charge clearly appreciated the extra distance at this track back in May.

While she has been off the track since, that may not be a bar to success as she has turned in a decent effort off a break previously.
