Bomber to fire at HWB Greyville

She's A Bomber could not have been more impressive when winning on debut on the Vaal Classic track in June and the fact four winners have come from that form line backs up that supposition.

Both third-placed Crimson Cloud and fifth-placed Kia Kaha went on to win next time out while second-placed Together Again, who finished second behind Crimson Cloud in her next start, as well as fourth finisher Cartagena, also went on to win a couple of starts later.

The three-year-old daughters of Lancaster Bomber has changed stables but has moved to the very in-form yard of Alyson Wright in KwaZulu-Natal.

She will make her first appearance for her new stable in Race 6 at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday, a MR 68 Handicap over 1400m, and it is expected to be a winning debut.

She’s A Bomber is certainly well related as she shares a granddam with Lucky Lad.

Having won over 1200m on the Vaal Classic track she has already had the experience of racing around the turn so she should have no problem with the Greyville track.

Ant Mgudlwa has picked up the ride and they will jump from No 6 draw.

The main threat is likely to come from a strong front runner in Avernian Goddess who jumps from gate No 1.

Avernian Goddess is a prominent type who has previously been contesting races over 1400m. But she is strengthening up with each run and last time out stayed on well on the Polytrack over the trip.

The Dean Kannemeyer-trained filly could be the one to catch but having run more races she has earned a higher rating and as a result gives 1.5kg to She’s A Bomber.

Kannemeyer looks to have some decent chances in earlier races as well as he saddles Real War in Race 1 and Spelling Bee in Race 4.
