Trainer Dean Kannemeyer and jockey Craig Zackey have been in fine form of late and they can notch up a double at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday.
They team in races in Race 6 and 7 with Lucrative and French Flame respectively and they both appear hard to beat.
Lucrative is an improving three-year-old filly and she lines up in a MR 80 Handicap for fillies and mares over 1400m on the Polytrack.
This daughter of Vercingetorix has run three times for two wins, one on debut and another last time out, with an unplaced run sandwiched between the two.
It is not easy to find out her racing style as on debut, over 1200m at Hollywoodbets she came from almost an impossible at the back of the field to beat Panthera Uncia going away by 1.50 lengths.
Last time out, over the same course and distance, she virtually led from gun to tape, staying on gamely to beat One Smart Cookie by 0.30 lengths.
The unplaced performance came at Greyville on the turf track with Keagan de Melo up and Lucrative hardly raised a gallop. There were some small issues and the vet was asked to take a look at her but nothing showed up.
But Zackey is undefeated on the filly and he is back up this time. The one concern is the Polytrack but is she takes to the surface she should be too good for the field and provide bettors with a lucrative win.
French Flame lines up in Race 7, a Conditional Graduation over 1400m, and this Fire Away three-year-old gelding is another who is improving rapidly.
He contested the Grade 1 Premiers Champion Stakes in July and finished midfield after hanging badly in the straight and finished a 0.50-length runner-up behind Spirit Of Levana, giving her 7kg.
Last time he ran a 1.55-length third behind Forgiveness despite casting a shoe and jumping from gate No 1 looks one of the best bets on the card.
