Aldo to get going in the Cape

Aldo Domeyer has some decent rides at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday and has the chance to pick up a few wins.

While there are only seven races on the card, there are some decent opportunities for punters.

Domeyer rides the best bet on the card in Race 2, a Special Weights Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1200m, Andre Nel-trained Go Like Flo, who he rode to a close-up second over 1200m last time out.

This three-year-old filly has been getting closer to opening her account with every start, finishing third and a little over three lengths behind the winner on debut over 1000m before being beaten a length when filling the runner-up berth in her second start over the same distance.

She took another step forward going an extra 200m four weeks ago and, with further improvement expected over the same course and distance this weekend, this daughter of Gimmethegreenlight should - simply put - shed her maiden tag.

Domeyer does duty for the Candice Bass-Robinson stable aboard Captain Arrow in Race 1 and in Race 5 on Fun Zone. Both have lively each-way chances in competitive line-ups and could be worth including in Swinger, Exacta, Trifecta and Quartet bets.

The former disappointed in his second start after an encouraging debut effort but did have excuses that day so, in just his third start with improvement likely, it wouldn't come as a surprise were he to confirm the promise of his first-up outing and play a role in the finish at a big price. 

Domeyer must also have a decent chance in Race 7, a Classified Stakes over 1000m, where he rides Bluff On Bluff for Piet Steyn. He rode the four-year-old gelding to a 0.30-length second behind Elusive Trader over 1100m last time and the drop back to 1000m should work strongly in his favour.
