HOT SAUCE is another promising Canford Cliffs filly from the Alan Greeff stable to keep an eye on in the Eastern Cape.
The three-year-old returns to the track on Wednesday after a break of almost five months. Hot Sauce will contest the FM 84 Handicap over 1100m, which is race six at the Fairview Polytrack meeting.
Hot Sauce won on debut in March and ran a good third in the Listed WSB Dahlia Plate in May which indicates she should be too good for this field.
It is her poly debut, but Hot Sauce should have no problem with the surface. Richard Fourie will be in the saddle from a wide draw in the small field of 8 runners.
Danish Dynamite from the Gavin Smith yard jumps from pole position and looks like the biggest challenger to the favourite.
Hot Sauce will be a popular banker in the Pick Six which starts with the third race, a Novice Plate over 1600m, at 13:40.
The consistent Rabada filly Honorable Member (Sharon Kotzen) looks very hard to beat in the first leg of the Pick Six and is a possible banker on the day.
She has done well against stronger opponents than she meets here and this looks like the right race for her to score.
The first race is off at 12:30 where All Systems Go (Smith) should get you through in the Bipot.
