2024 EAST CAPE AWARDS HONOUR RACING EXCELLENCE

The East Cape Awards 2024 took centre stage at the fabulous Fairview Racecourse in Gqeberha this Friday, 06 September. 

Hosted by leading horse racing operator 4Racing, the awards celebrated and honoured the outstanding achievements of Nelson Mandela Bay Racing’s top 
performers.   The evening was a intimate affair, showcasing Fairview’s finest and celebrating an exciting season. The awards ceremony announced deserving winners across 18 categories, each awarded for their exceptional contributions to the sport. 

The highlight of the evening was the award of Horse of the Season – presented to Joy And Peace, who also walked away with Champion 3 Year old filly and 
Champion Polytrack Filly.  

The evening honoured 18 category winners, who each had exemplary seasons in Gqeberha:

The awards were determined through a meticulous voting process led by Henk Steenkamp, Chairman of the panel, along with esteemed judges Nico Krisiotis and 
Neil Pretorius. Their dedication ensured that each recipient truly exemplified excellence in their respective categories.
