Jack Milner: Muzi Yeni makes a return to Fairview on Friday but this time he will be teaming up with Western Cape raiding trainer Justin Snaith.
He is carded for five rides – four for Snaith and one for locally based Jaap Visser.
The best of his five rides looks to be filly Sovereign Secret in Race 5, a Conditions Plate for fillies and mares over 1400m on the turf.
The last time Sovereign Secret saw this track was back in January when she ran out a 3.50 length winner over 1600m.
This shorter distance, although not ideal, should not be a problem for this Dynasty filly, especially from a decent No 4 draw.
The Port Elizabeth Gold Cup over 3200m is the headline race of this meeting and Yeni will be aboard Strathdon for Snaith. This seven-year-old Silvano gelding is a decent stayer when in the mood and he should be right there at the finish, although he will have to beat in-form Miss Orange.
Jack Milner’s selections
