Danie Toerien
Wugug, trained by Brett Crawford, has made Kenilworth her home.
After two runs at the Vaal, and then trying the Turffontein Standside track, Crawford opted to send her to Cape Town, where she had three very forgettable runs at the Durbanville country course.
Eventually she was given the opportunity to stretch her legs at Kenilworth, and she obviously loved it, scoring a first career win and following up with another win at the same track.
Today she will be looking to complete a hat-trick in Race 7, a Class 4 Handicap over 1400m.
The seven-point penalty she incurred for her two victories might not be enough to end this daughter of Rafeef's winning streak.
Bettors must note that Louie Mxothwa, who steered her to victory last time out, will be aboard again, but sporting new silks. He will be donning the bright yellow silks with red band of diamonds, red sleeves, bright yellow cap, and red diamond.
