Winds Of Change to blow through Greyville

There is plenty to play for at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Saturday a 10-race programme on the Polytrack.

One of the big attractions of the day must be the straight fight between high-class sprinters Winds Of Change and Future Variety. Both are head-and-shoulders above the rest, but Mike and Adam Azzie-trained Winds Of Change who was arguably an unlucky loser of the Grade 1 Computaform Sprint, could be the one to get rewarded.

The pair try the Polytrack for first time in Race 2, a Progress Plate over 1200m, and on official merit ratings are many points ahead of the rest. It is worth noting that Candice Bass-Robinson-trained Future Variety finished 5.85 lengths ahead of Winds Of Change in the Grade 2 Golden Horse Sprint on Speed Day at Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

But that was Winds Of Change’s first run after a rest and he was given a difficult task taking on the best giving weight to many, including Future Variety, and he reportedly showed no interest. He has a 50% strike rate in his second run after rest which is a pointer but more important, his third-place finish in the Computaform Sprint sets him apart. He is 3kg better off with his main rival and stripping fitter this time, he must now rate the one to beat.
