MEGA SOCCER 13 POOL SET TO GENERATE BUMPER PAYOUT

Saturday’s guaranteed R26-million Soccer 13 pool gives TAB customers a grand chance to win a mega mountain of cash and the good news is that there appear to be several banker bets. The bumper Soccer 13 pool is a combination of English Premiership and Championship matches and kicks off with the West Ham-Manchester City clash in London. Make no mistake West Ham are a structured and competent outfit that City will find difficult to break down. But Pep Guardiola’s men showed they are getting into top gear against Ipswich last weekend and could be strengthened by the return of both Rodri and Phil Foden, who missed the Ipswich game because of illness. Plus they have been handed an unexpected bonus in the return of Ilkay Gundogan and it’s hard to visualise them not going home with all three points.

Brentford to beat Southampton at home and Aston Villa to win away in Leicester also look banker bets. Leicester and Southampton both won promotion from the English Championship last season, but neither appears to have sufficient quality to survive in the Premiership.

There are seven English Championship matches in the pool and fortunately two of them look straightforward - West Brom and Leeds drew this month and now find themselves at home to Swansea and Hull City respectively. Both should win comfortably.

Tomorrow’s cash-added Soccer 10, which is set to total some R2 million, is headlined by the second-leg MTN8 semi-final clash between Pirates and Cape Town City. Best advice is to bank on Pirates to win. They have a solid record against City and held them to a 1-1 draw in the first leg in Cape Town this week.

Union Berlin are unbeaten in their last three games and St. Pauli are on a seven-game winning streak. The last six clashes between the two have yielded five wins for Union Berlin and one for St. Pauli.
M3: Genk vs Westerlo	TEAM A WINS	DRAW	TEAM B WINS
Belgian First Division A clash. Genk are on a three-game winning streak and Westerlo have won eight of their last 12. Westerlo are second and two points ahead of fifth-placed Genk after four league games. They last met in March, drawing 1-1.

Lyon are on a three-game losing streak in France’s Ligue 1 and Strasbourg ended a 10-game winless sequence with a win over Rennes last time. The two last met in May, when Lyon won 2-1, their third victory in six clashes over the last two years.
M5: Inter Milan vs Atalanta	TEAM A WINS	DRAW	TEAM B WINS
Inter have a draw and a win from their first two Serie A matches of the new season and Atalanta have won eight of their last 15. Inter won the last meeting between the two 4-0 in February and have won five of the last six encounters.
M6: Dundalk vs Shelbourne	TEAM A WINS	DRAW	TEAM B WINS
Irish Premier Division. Shelbourne are unbeaten in 11 of their last 13 games and Dundalk are winless in their last four. Shelbourne are second in the league with 49 points and 25 ahead of 10th-placed Dundalk.

Derry are unbeaten in their last six games and currently lead the Irish Premier Division table on goal difference. They are 10 points ahead of Galway United, who have lost six of their last 12.

Luton are winless in their last six, whereas QPR are unbeaten in their last three. Luton won the last meeting between the two 3-0, but that was two years ago.

They now have home-ground advantage and start firm favourites.

Everton have made a poor start to the season, losing both games and conceding seven goals in the process. Bournemouth have drawn their first two EPL games of the new season.

Newly promoted Ipswich have lost their first two EPL games this season, but those defeats were to big-hitters Liverpool and Manchester City. They will find the going easier against Fulham, who beat Leicester last time out.

Leicester are winless in their last five games and have one point from their first two EPL games this season. Villa started well with a victory over West Ham, but were put in their place by Arsenal last weekend.

Forest lost a midweek League Cup clash to Newcastle on penalties and were unbeaten in their previous four games. Wolves were smashed 6-2 by Chelsea last weekend, but bounced back to beat Burnley 2-0 in a midweek League Cup encounter.
