• Barcelona, who host Mallorca tonight, were hit with two significant injuries in their last clash against Athletic, with Pedri and Frenkie de Jong both forced off the field in the first half of the goalless draw. Pedri could require an operation on a hamstring that would rule him out for the season, while De Jong's ankle injury sidelines him for an extended period.
• Second-placed Stellenbosch have Jayden Adams back from suspension for tomorrow’s home game against Cape Town Spurs, but he has a thigh problem and is unlikely to play. Plus Stellenbosch central defender Ismael Toure must sit out one more game after being sent off last week against Chippa United. Spurs will be without centre-back Lubeni Haukongo, who is out for the rest of the season.
• SuperSport United skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo has returned from a broken ankle suffered last year and could be in the line-up to face AmaZulu tomorrow in Polokwane.
• Manchester City suffered two potential injury blows ahead of their clash with Liverpool. Jeremy Doku was ruled out of their midweek clash against FC Copenhagen shortly beforehand due to injury. "He had some muscular problems so we did not want to take the risk," manager Pep Guardiola revealed. There was an additional concern for City as Matheus Nunes was forced off with a gruesome finger injury in the second half.
• Tottenham striker Richarlison could make an unexpectedly quick recovery for Sunday’s key clash against Aston Villa in the chase for a Champions League place. Initially, manager Ange Postecoglou said the Brazilian would be out for up to a month, but he is already back in training.
