TAB4Racing customers can look forward to a feast of high-quality racing action locally and abroad this weekend, beginning with Leg 2 of the East Cape Poly Challenge this Friday and two Hollywoodbets-sponsored Grade 3 features on Saturday ahead of Sunday's Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp.
To add to the excitement there are R250,000 TAB carryovers to the Jackpot ONE pools at the local meetings Friday through Sunday. The Jackpot ONE pool at Vaal yesterday started with a R250,000 carryover and topped well over R1 million. Expect the same at Fairview today, when Prince Of Fire could clinch the second leg of the Poly Challenge. He made a winning local debut under Muzi Yeni in the first leg of the Poly Challenge over 1200m - his first start on the all-weather surface after joining trainer Kelly Mitchley from Johan Janse van Vuuren's Highveld stable. A wide No 13 draw is unlikely to prevent the five-year-old gelding from following up in Race 6 over 1400m.

COUNT ON CANDICE AND ALDO IN FEATURES
Saturday's nine-race meeting at Hollywoodbets Durbanville features the reappearance of Cape Racing's Horse Of The Year Charles Dickens in the Grade 3 Matchem Stakes (Race 6). Drakenstein Stud's home-bred Trippi colt has stamped himself as, arguably, the country's best thoroughbred by winning eight of 10 starts and finishing second in the other two.
Trainer Candice Bass-Robinson's stable star swept his rivals aside in a two-start winter spell during Kwa-Zulu-Natal's Champions Season, winning both the Grade 2 KZN Guineas and Grade 1 Gold Challenge. He is hard to oppose under the conditions and will have Aldo Domeyer aboard once more.
That Drakenstein, Bass-Robinson and Domeyer triumvirate looks good value to complete a Grade 3 double with Golden Hostess in the Diana Stakes (Race 7). This Gold Standard filly performed well, albeit without much success, in very good company throughout her three-year-old campaign. She is versatile, effective from 1000m to 1600m and has a good record racing fresh after a break. She has also run her best races under Domeyer and should hold many too many guns for her rivals.

FOURIE'S KZN TRIP LOOKS SET TO PAY OFF
Jockey Richard Fourie's visit to Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday should reap several winners. Johnny The Thief, his ride in Race 1, has strong credentials and Tony Rivalland-trained Galaxy Explorer ought to deliver the goods for Fourie in Race 2 with the addition of cheekpieces likely to bring improvement from this son of Ideal World. Garth Puller's decision to engage Fourie for veteran Twice Golden could see this seven-year-old galloper make a belated return to winning ways in Race 6. This Twice Over gelding caught the eye when running on well to finish third over 2200m last time and the step up in distance to 2400m should serve his interests.
Mike Miller-trained Rulership should have the measure of his rivals in Race 6 over 1000m and looks a banker for all bets. He goes well for jockey Tristan Godden and ran an improved second over the course and distance last time.
