Racing is on the Inside track at Turffontein on Thursday and the Lucky Houdalakis yard has some decent runners on the card. The best appears to be Wayne, who lines up in Race 6, a Middle Stakes over 2000m.
Wayne has been knocking firmly on the door, finishing second in back-to-back starts over 1600m, and the well-bred son of Vercingetorix should relish the rise to 2000m but in fairness, only the race will tell.
With Keagan de Melo taking the mount, the progressive three-year-old looks primed to convert that consistency into a deserved victory.
