Walkadina to bounce back at Ludlow

Walkadina can return to winning ways in the Good Life Plus Free Prize Draws Novices' Hurdle at Ludlow on Thursday.

David Pipe's mare had some decent bumper form to her name, notably chasing home Blue Las at Uttoxeter, and made an impressive start to her jumping career at that track when romping home by 13 lengths.

She then ran with credit to finish fourth in a hot Listed contest at Newbury which featured Listentoyourheart and Jubilee Alpha.

Walkadina faded badly when a beaten favourite at Wincanton on Boxing Day but has been given plenty of time to recover from that setback and a subsequent wind operation, so is fancied to get back on track.

Hellfire Princess is taken to land the Ian Meadow's 65th Year Handicap Hurdle for Kerry Lee in the same colours as National Spirit hero Nemean Lion.

This eight-year-old returned from almost 400 days on the sidelines to run a cracker at Hereford, holding a clear advantage at the final flight but ultimately going down by a neck after fluffing that jump.

Good Friday Fairy looks one to follow at Taunton in the Richard Williams Memorial Handicap Chase after hacking up by 16 lengths at Wincanton recently.

Ben Clarke's charge has been raised 8lb for that but won well off his new mark at Uttoxeter last season.

Space Voyage is another taken to double up in the Freda Woolley Memorial Mares' Handicap Chase following a comfortable eight-length victory at Huntingdon last time out.

Payment Plan has been in excellent form all winter and can hopefully keep that up in the Free Bets With BetUK Bet Club Handicap at Newcastle.

John Butler's five-year-old has taken home the top prize-money three times in his last five races and passed the post first on his most recent run at Wolverhampton before being demoted to second in the stewards' room.

Barnaby bids for a hat-trick in the Gamble Responsibly At BetMGM Handicap and there has been a lot to like about this month's two course and distance strikes.

He has come through to hit the front late on and win going away on both occasions, suggesting there is scope for even more improvement, while Warren Fentiman will take off a valuable 7lb this time.

Port Light sets a strong standard in Chelmsford's bet365 Restricted Novice Stakes following two rock-solid runs to date.

After battling to victory at Southwell, he went down by just a neck at this track behind Rajeko, who has since been runner-up in a valuable Qatar contest. - Press Association
