Trainer Gareth Van Zyl has his yard in top form, and he could be set for another good day at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
He starts in Race 1, a Maiden Pate for fillies and mares over 1000m, when Sky Glitter resumes after running in a Grade 1 where she was well fancied.
She could be too good back in the maidens, but jockey Anton Marcus will need to ensure she does not get too far behind as that was her downfall in her first two runs.
Van Zyl’s runners also dominate Race 2 where he saddles Bay Breeze and Indigo Fields.
The latter found plenty support on debut to go off the 33-10 favourite over 1200m at Scottsville but after showing pace did not kick on and ended up a 3.20-length third behind Sting Ray. The daughter of What A Winter tries 1400m this time and from No 1 draw will be very hard to beat.
Stablemate Bay Breeze, with S’manga Khumalo up, should be the main threat but she will need to improve on moderate previous races at Scottsville.
Dean Kannemeyer-trained Favour stands out on ratings in Race 5, a Pinnacle Stakes over 2400m.
He has produced some fantastic finishes at Greyville but it pays to remember he has been in the money in some hot features at Scottsville.
