Wathan Racing and William Haggas' Valiancy can prevail in the Robert Millar Memorial Celebrations Maiden Stakes over a mile and three furlongs at Hamilton on Wednesday.
The Cracksman bay cost 410,000 guineas as a yearling and was gelded prior to a green debut in a 10-furlong Newbury maiden last month.
He stepped up to mile and a half on his next start at Haydock and was notably improved when second by just half a length.
That performance was encouraging as he was beaten by a more experienced rival in Charlie Johnston's Pole Star, and points to plenty more to come from this half-brother to the Group Three winner Givemethebeatboys.
Adrian Keatley's Better And Better can progress just as his name suggests and come to the fore in the Hamilton Park EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.
The Acclamation colt made his debut at Carlisle in late May and acquitted himself very well over five furlongs when second by just a neck to defy odds of 20-1.
He steps up to six furlongs for his second career start and is unlikely to be so overlooked in the market this time as he bids to get his head in front under PJ McDonald.
On the all-weather at Kempton, there is debutante worth keeping an eye on in Shadwell and Owen Burrows' El Megeeth as she contests the Unibet/EBF Maiden Fillies' Stakes.
The Ghaiyyath three-year-old is out of a mare called Tanoura, who was very useful in her racing days when winning at Listed level and placing in several Group contests.
She has been equally prosperous as a broodmare, producing four black-type performers so far including Group Three winners Tanaza and Tarawa.
Their younger half-sister is an interesting proposition on her first start as she begins to try to recoup some of her 375,000-guineas purchase price as a foal.
At Lingfield, Alice Haynes' Wateen catches the eye in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes.
The juvenile filly has run twice so far, contesting five-furlong events at Ayr and Doncaster, and has twice been narrowly edged out when beaten three-quarters of length each time.
On the latter occasion she was hampered and the third-placed horse was still a good distance behind her, hinting at more promise when afforded a clear run.
At Yarmouth, Royal Velvet appeals in the Paul Corrigan Memorial Handicap for William Knight and Cieren Fallon.
The filly has reached a career-high mark after a good win at Newmarket last time out, where she prevailed by two and a half lengths over a mile.
That performance was a career-best and has seen her rise 5lb in the handicap, but she can defy the hike.
