The race meeting schedule at the Vaal for today, January9, has been abandoned.
Despite no rainfall overnight and the completion of the gallops this morning, it was unanimously determined that the track conditions were inconsistent and unsafe for racing.
Consequently, the decision to abandon today's event has been made in the interest of safety.
