The race meeting scheduled for Turffontein on Tuesday 19 April has been moved to the Vaal.
This was necessitated by the fact that Turffontein has received 59mm of rainfall in the last two days. A track inspection today showed surface water lying on the Inside Track.
The Vaal racecourse has received around 40mm of rain in the last two days and the penetrometer reading at the country course today was 28.
This is expected to improve to 26 by tomorrow.
It was therefore decided to move the Turffontein Inside Track meeting scheduled for tomorrow to the Vaal Classic Track.
Race 5 will now be run over 2400m. All other distances remain the same and race times remain as is.
