Although there are no feature races at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Friday, there are some talented youngsters in action who could be looking ahead to bigger things later in the year.

Perhaps leading the charge and is three-year-old filly Infinity Edge who will line up against her elders in Race 8, a Middle Stakes for fillies and mares over 1400m on the turf, and it will be interesting to see how she will perform.

Technically, the daughter of Gimmethegreenlight is still a maiden. She actually won on debut at HWB Scottsville in June but was disqualified recently after Furosemide, a prohibited diuretic, was found in the sample taken from her after that victory.

Nevertheless, Michael Miller’s charge went on to run a fast-finishing fourth in the Grade 2 Debutante Stakes over 1200m at this course in July, beaten just 0.65 lengths, and in her only run after that, a Progress Plate for fillies over this course and distance, in which she was well supported in the betting, went down 1.10 lengths to Forward Motion.

Fitter this time, and well drawn in gate No 4, this improving filly could prove very hard to beat with Tristan Godden up this time.

She has a potent finish and looks ideally suited to the additional 200m.
