Although only a one-time winner, Money Heist has taken on the best three-year-olds in the land and has travelled around the country to do so.

After winning his maiden at the second time of asking in spectacular style from a wide draw, and then going down narrowly in his next start, the Gareth van Zyl-trained three-year went off to Cape Town where he contested the Grade 2 Cape Cup and Grade 1 Cape Guineas, both over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

Unfortunately, he continuously had no luck with draws. In the Cape Cup he jumped from barrier No 14, ended up too far back, but ran on well to finish fifth, 4.05 lengths behind Cousin Casey.

He landed No 10 draw in the Guineas, was way back turning for home, but produced the third fastest finish to end up sixth, 6.90 lengths behind Charles Dickens.

Money Heist then moved up to Joburg to contest the Grade 2 World Sports Betting Gauteng Guineas where he fared even worse with his draw, landing up in barrier No 15. He never got into the race and finished 10 lengths behind Eye Of The Prophet.

Finally, in the Grade 1 WSB SA Classic over 1800m, he landed up in No 4 draw. However, he wore blinkers for the first time and he never settled, fading out to finish 6.75 lengths behind Anfields Rocket.

On Wednesday he takes a mighty drop in class when he lines up in Race 4, a Novice Plate over 1500m, at Hollywoodbets Scottsville, where he looks almost impossible to oppose. He has an advantage of 11kg based on merit ratings and rates a banker in all bets.

This is the course where he won his maiden and despite the widest draw, No 8 this time, this should prove a real confidence booster for Money Heist.
